Born and raised by his stunt coordinator father and trapeze artist mother in Cape Town, South Africa, Pierre Marais is a triple threat actor based in New York City.

Most recently on Broadway, Pierre has taken over as the lead role of Joe Gillis, opposite Nicole Scherzinger, in Jamie Lloyd’s Tony Award Winning Revival of Sunset Boulevard. On Broadway he has also appeared in Aladdin, and has toured nationally in A Chorus Line, Flashdance, and Aladdin. Favorite stage roles include Jack Kelly in Newsies (Theatre Under the Stars), the Emcee in Cabaret (Alabama Shakespeare Festival), and Gilbert in Anne of Green Gables (Goodspeed Musicals).

On screen, Pierre has starred as the Young Scorpion King, Mathayus, in Scorpion King 2 (Netflix), Black Beauty (Disney+), and made his on screen debut alongside Jean Claude Van Damme, playing his son, in Wake of Death (Universal). Pierre is also an accomplished filmmaker.

Whether on stage, on set, or behind the camera, Pierre is driven by a passion for authentic connection and stories that move us.
